The 2009 National Conference on Volunteering and Service, co-convened by the Corporation for National & Community Service and the Points of Light Institute, is the world’s largest gathering of volunteer and service leaders from the nonprofit, government, and corporate sectors and it’s coming up in a few short weeks. Discussions will focus on volunteering to meet community needs and ponder the future of service in America. This year’s theme is “Civic. Energy. Generation.” I’m looking forward to reporting on this in late June.
